God will bring down any man with a proud and boastful heart no matter who he is…even if he is a powerful king! Proverbs 16:5 reminds us; “The Lord detests the proud of heart. Be sure of this- they will not go unpunished.”

Daniel interprets the dream for the king, tells of kingdoms to come (some that have already come in our time, some still to come), and to let Israel know that God has not forgotten them and elevated Daniel and his friends to leadership positions. Only God can take a young boy, a Jewish boy and strategically place him in a position of authority.
